Safety

At DIVISION 1, safety is woven into the fabric of our culture, ensuring a secure and productive work environment. Our tradesmen undergo rigorous OSHA 10-Hour Construction training, equipping them with essential knowledge to identify and mitigate construction-related risks. This comprehensive course covers OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards and is available in both English and Spanish, emphasizing a commitment to inclusivity.

For our General Foremen, a higher standard is set with OSHA 30-Hour Construction training. This intensive program delves deep into policies, procedures, and best practices, empowering our leaders to foster a robust safety culture on-site.

All team members, regardless of their role, are required to wear safety shoes, hard hats, hi-vis, eye protection, and ear protection when necessary. Additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandated based on specific tasks, ensuring a proactive approach to safety.

Moreover, our team members operating company vehicles must possess at least a chauffeur’s license, and those operating larger vehicles require CDLs with any necessary endorsements. We go beyond minimum requirements, by accompanying CDLs with specialized endorsements, showcasing our commitment to comprehensive safety.

This dedication to safety extends beyond compliance, reflecting our proactive approach to mitigate risks. In the event team members are exposed to tasks requiring additional safety training, rest assured, they will receive the necessary preparation. At DIVISION 1, safety is not just a requirement; it’s a shared commitment that ensures the well-being of our team and the success of your project.
